To be eligible to apply for a double major program, you must be a registered student in a KTO Karatay University undergraduate or associate degree program. Students enrolled in undergraduate programs can apply for double majors in both undergraduate and associate degree programs, but students enrolled in associate degree programs can only apply for double majors in associate degree programs. Applications for double major programs are made through the Student Information System during the period specified in the academic calendar determined by the KTO Karatay University Senate. Students enrolled in undergraduate programs can apply for the double major program at the beginning of the third semester at the earliest and the beginning of the fifth semester at the latest, and students enrolled in associate degree programs can apply at the beginning of the second semester at the earliest and the beginning of the third semester at the latest. In order for a student to apply for this program, he/she must successfully complete all the courses he/she has taken in the major diploma program until the semester he/she applied for. Students who want to double major in programs that require a grade point average must also meet the grade point average requirement set by the Council of Higher Education for the relevant program in the year they enrolled, in addition to other requirements. Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.00 at the time of application and who are in the top 20% of the grade point average in the relevant class of the major diploma program can apply for the double major diploma program. Students with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 in the major diploma program but who are not in the top 20% of the grade point average in the relevant class of the major diploma program can also apply for a double major if they have a score that is not less than the cutoff score for the double major program in the relevant year.
