First-year students of the Faculty of Medicine at Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Karatay University took their first steps on the path to becoming physicians by donning their white coats in a ceremony held at the university. In the ceremony, first-year students of the Faculty of Medicine experienced the excitement and pride of donning their white coats, taking the first steps into the world of medicine. The event was attended by academics, students, families, and numerous guests. Following a moment of silence and the singing of the national anthem, Professor Dr. Ümran Çalışkan, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at KTO Karatay University, delivered the opening speech. Çalışkan offered invaluable advice to the students, stating, "KTO Karatay University, recognized in Turkey as an exemplary institution with its closely monitored scientific developments and expert academic staff in laboratories, plays a pioneering role in the field of medicine. Throughout your educational journey, we will do everything in our power to support your professional development and education. Education is a lifelong process. Even after starting your career, you must dedicate significant effort to achieve your goals in the field of medicine. The profession of being a doctor has a profound impact on every aspect of life. Therefore, you should continuously update your knowledge and keep up with new developments. I have full confidence that you will work towards elevating healthcare services to the highest level, both in our country and globally. I sincerely congratulate all students who are donning their white coats today and wish you success throughout your educational journey." The event concluded as students were assisted by academics to put on their white coats, followed by a group photo.
