Turkey’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival, TEKNOFEST, brought technology enthusiasts together this year in Adana. As a partner of TEKNOFEST, Konya Chamber of Commerce (KTO) Karatay University took its place in Adana. The WaterMelon team, composed of students from KTO Karatay University’s Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, achieved second place at the university level and above in the Smart Transportation Competition, part of the TEKNOFEST Champions League held for the first time this year. Additionally, T3 Foundation Board of Trustees Chairman and TEKNOFEST Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar, along with Baykar Technology CEO Haluk Bayraktar, visited KTO Karatay University’s stand to learn about the university’s projects. KTO Karatay Students in the TEKNOFEST Champions League KTO Karatay University participated as a partner university in TEKNOFEST 2024, one of the most significant events of Turkey’s national technology initiative. At TEKNOFEST 2024 in Adana, KTO Karatay students achieved great success by winning second place at the university level and above in the Smart Transportation Competition, part of the newly established TEKNOFEST Champions League. At KTO Karatay University’s stand, drone and flight simulations, as well as an artificial intelligence-based cellular analysis experience area, were displayed for the enjoyment of tech enthusiasts. From the very first day, the university’s stand attracted significant interest and was visited by Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the T3 Foundation Board of Trustees and TEKNOFEST Chairman, along with Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of BAYKAR Technology. KTO Karatay University’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç, briefed TEKNOFEST Chairman Selçuk Bayraktar on the innovative projects developed by KTO Karatay students, as well as the university’s research and development activities in aviation, engineering, and technology. Meanwhile, BAYKAR Technology CEO Haluk Bayraktar experienced the flight simulation.
