A World Children's Rights Day event was organized with the theme "The Future of Children is Written in a Fair World" in collaboration with KTO Karatay University and the Konya Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. The event was attended by KTO Karatay University Rector Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç, Konya Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Abdullah Neşeli, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Filiz Erbay, academicians, and a large number of students. "We Must Work Together for Our Children, the Architects of the Future" After the moment of silence and the National Anthem, KTO Karatay University Rector Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç delivered the opening speech of the event, emphasizing that children's rights should not be a topic remembered only on one specific day. He stated, "The most fundamental right of children and all of humanity is the right to life. We must ensure the safety of our children and take on the responsibility of raising them as fair individuals. The deep-rooted values of both Turkish culture and Islamic civilization have greatly benefited humanity throughout history. This meaningful day is not only a reminder of children's rights, but also a symbol of our determination to build a fairer world for our children, the architects of the future. Improving the quality of life for children and preparing them as strong individuals for the future is our collective duty. We must work together for a future where all children's rights are guaranteed in a world filled with peace." "We Must Stand Up for the Rights of Our Children and Ensure Their Safety" Konya Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Abdullah Neşeli, highlighting the importance of children's safety and the protection of their rights, shared the following in his speech: "Today, we want to send a loud message from here to Konya, Turkey, and the world. We are implementing policies based on the principle of the best interests of the child. It is very important for us that our children, who are the common value of humanity, are raised in a safe environment and a warm family, and that the future is shaped by them. It should be our common goal to raise our children, the architects of the future, with awareness of the culture that has lived for years in Anatolia and to support them with modern science. We must shout to the world the fundamental right of our children to life. We must stand up for their rights and ensure their safety." A Meaningful Event Supported by Presentations and a Bazaar After the opening speeches, the program continued with informative presentations by experts in the field. The proceeds from the charity bazaar held at the end of the event will be used to meet the needs of children under protection.
