Dear Students, Architecture is an interdisciplinary design endeavor shaped by actions and experiences that respond to needs and expectations related to concepts such as environment, art, engineering, philosophy, sociology, and psychology. KTO Karatay University offers a comprehensive education to its students with its experienced, successful, and expanding academic staff, advanced equipment, and technological facilities. The Architecture Faculty at the Faculty of Art and Design graduates the best members of the profession, who are analytical and innovative thinkers, competent in their field, and committed to their responsibility towards the city, the environment, and all its living forms. Architecture students are trained with an appreciation of the visual arts that are so powerful in architectural design, the importance of architecture as a profession and its place in society, how to research and evaluate architectural designs, and how to think three-dimensionally and communicate their ideas. Our main goal, especially when teaching in the design studio, is to create students who are adaptable to teamwork and able to make decisions both independently and in conjunction with modern architectural techniques, and who are able to present projects shaped by conceptual, social, cultural, and economic values. Our students are educated with an interdisciplinary approach to foreign languages, vocational computer programs, and elective courses in different subjects. During their 4-year undergraduate education, students are provided with essential knowledge and are encouraged to improve themselves. Students of the Architecture Department are entitled to graduate with two diplomas at the end of their 4-year study with the opportunity of a double major program (DMP).
