Dear Students; Energy management is a well-structured and self-organized discipline that is centered around the most efficient use of energy, without compromising product quality, safety, or environmental factors, and without reducing production. It adheres to the principle of minimizing the amount of energy consumed without adversely affecting economic development and social welfare as well as without lowering quality and performance, by exploiting energy waste, increasing energy efficiency, and avoiding existing energy losses. The Energy Management Department, the first of its kind at the university level in Turkey, is educating qualified managers in areas such as field management, sector relations, and sustainability. With the latest projects such as natural gas exploration in the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean, the Akkuyu nuclear power plant and the Konya Karapınar solar power plant, the interest in the energy sector is growing and there is a need for qualified graduates in this field. KTO Karatay University is one of the most unique Turkish universities in this field with its energy management department and outstanding projects. Our students graduate from our university as individuals with a holistic understanding and a high level of management expertise in the energy field. In this regard, our graduates occupy various positions such as energy manager, energy specialist, energy application specialist, energy conservation specialist, auditor, and energy sales specialist in public institutions and private companies, especially in renewable energy facilities such as solar and wind power. To all those who are studying at KTO Karatay University in the Department of Energy Management, I send my best wishes for success in their pursuit of academic success and recommend that they always rely on our professors, who have a wealth of experience in the industry.
