Dear Students, Social work is a branch of science and a profession that is gaining ground in modern society, identifying psychosocial problems and addressing changing and evolving human needs to improve the well-being of society, and training social workers in this field. The Social Work Department conducts research using scientific methods and technology based on individuals, families, and society with the goal of realizing social justice and strives to ensure that the principles of human rights protection prevail in all areas of life. Our faculty-run training programs provide students with detailed knowledge and guidance on social work ethics through applied courses, with outstanding faculty members leading the learning and training process. Our students are aimed to graduate as highly qualified experts, managers, and planners in the field of social work and other related fields, which are developing day by day in our country. In the fourth year, with the support of our department, students are able to do internships at social work organizations in different provinces in Türkiye, especially in Konya. In addition, our department provides education in accordance with the Bologna Framework in compliance with national and international social work training standards. Our scholars conduct national and local surveys of migrants and asylum seekers, alcoholics and drug addicts, disaster victims, women victims of violence, and children in need of protection. Our department is among the departments that shape the development of national social work education in Türkiye. I wish great success in education and training to our students who will be the leaders of tomorrow in social work with the desire to serve humanity.
