Content : The course is based on the idea that it is important for students to be aware of their social, economic and cultural conditions. Within the scope of the course, mainly; The change of social structure from the Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey; The characteristics of the development of the social structure of Turkey in the Republican period; The specific conditions of Turkish modernization; transition to multi-party political system and its aftermath, Turkey's sociodemographic population distribution; Social classes and social stratification in Turkey, economy and working life in Turkey are discussed.
