Objectives : The aim of the course is to gain the students to the issues of arrival of Kutalmış’s sons to Anatolia, establisments of Turkey Seljuk State, relations with Byzantium during the establisment process, eastern and southeastern Anatolia Policy, the Crusades, providing unity in Anatolia. Also The aim of the course is to have knowledge of the political, social, economic and cultural histories of the Turkish principals as well as their contribution to the Turkification of Anatolia by the Turkish principals prevailing in Anatolia before the Ottomans.
Content : At the time of the establishment of the Turkish Seljuk Empire and the general state of the Western world, especially the Byzantine and Turkish and the Islamic world. The first Turkish invasions to Anatolia and the Turkification of Anatolia. Social and economic factors that the establishment of the Turkey Seljuk Empire. Establishment and development of the state. The Crusades, Turkish states of Turkey Seljuk Empire established in Byzantine, Eastern and Central Anatolia; Zengiler, Ayyubiler, Harzemşahlar and Mamluks are related to the states. Mongolian invasion and its consequences in Anatolia. The emergence of Anatolian principals. Political events, state organization and intellectual movements. The importance of the period of the Beyliks in terms of Anatolia's political and cultural history.
