Dear Students;

Advancements in information and communication technologies here in this day and age intensified global competition.  KTO Karatay University's Department of International Trade and Logistics has the objective of producing entrepreneurial, solution-driven, and highly rational students who are able to adapt to the changes of the information age, compete in international markets, create optimal solutions in logistics companies, think analytically and deliver results by the combination of theory and practice with the interdisciplinary program it offers.

The most important characteristic of our department is that it blends theory and practice with a multidisciplinary approach. In this context, our students are instructed not only in theory but also receive intensive practical training throughout their whole academic years. Through all the inputs provided by our academics, who have exercised their theoretical and academic knowledge, and the companies, who are solution partners, our students are educated on the principle of apprenticeship, companionship, and mastery. The combination of theory and practice with a multidisciplinary approach and learning with an apprentice-to-master approach are the greatest benefits for our students.

At KTO Karatay University, our students who attend the Faculty of Economics, Administration, and Social Sciences in the Department of International Business and Logistics enjoy various advantages over students who study in corresponding departments of other universities, depending on the opportunities offered by our department.

The curriculum in our department is based on theoretical and applied case studies and a practical internship at the end of the semester. Besides their national and international academic background, our scholars have expertise in the fields of import-export and logistics in the real sector. Following a first year of management training, the emphasis in the second year is on specific training in international trade.

Our department, which seeks to provide world-class education, has set up various exchange programs with national and international universities. In this respect, the Erasmus+ program allows our students and researchers to train and gain experience in EU countries.

Our academic program provides our students with a solid background in logistics, marketing, economics, finance, business management, law, quantitative analysis, communication technology, and international business. Our students have the opportunity to complete a double major in various departments.  Upon graduation, our students find employment in the marketing departments of international and multinational companies, in the international marketing and sales departments of exporters and importers, in companies offering customs clearance services, in international maritime, air, road, and rail transport companies, and in many other fields.

With the contribution of our academics and solution partners who are masters of theory and practice, we promise to have you educated, the next generation, so that when you graduate, you will be able to practice international trade and logistics, export and import processes, and foreign trade transactions, and we invite our young people to have their say.": "My goal is to reach the whole world".
