Civil Engineering is one of the most important engineering branches and historically its roots stretch back to 3,000 years ago in Milano. Buildings, facilities, distribution networks, transmission and transportation lines, roads, water structures and infrastructure facilities such as buildings and bridges, which are the products of modern civil engineering, are used directly or indirectly by people at any moment. Civil engineers can work in the public and private sectors: organizations operating in the municipal, contracting, advisory, educational, R&D units and techno parks, industries producing construction materials, commerce, service and consulting fields. Republic of Turkey Railways , Highways, General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works can be employed in all levels in the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Public Works. The types of work done vary widely; planning, design, contracting services, manufacturing, construction, operation and maintenance, sales and marketing and renewal. Civil engineering classically includes the following sub-disciplines: Structural engineering: It deals with the design and manufacture of all types of buildings and bridges for accommodation and transportation purposes, Geotechnical engineering: soil properties to be placed on top of buildings and other structures to be used in the design of foundations, the main principles of soil mechanics, the design of the basic element through the use of geotechnical data, excavation, retaining walls, earth body dam structures are main subject of geotechnical engineering, infrastructure management and building manufacturing technologies applications: Within the scope of field engineering in general, project applications management, building material selection and applications and building manufacturing technologies are covered, Transportation engineering: Airports, railway systems, planning of roads, designing, manufacturing, include operation and renewal issues, Engineering Mechanics: Applied mathematics is related together Study of mechanical and other related issues. Thus, the properties of the materials, the mechanical properties of the fluids and solids, the hydraulic aspects, the structures can be better understood; design and applications are possible, Water resources engineering: Hydrology; the planning of structures and pipelines and pipelines for the purpose of meeting the water needs of human settlements, industries and agricultural activities and for the extraction, transmission and distribution of water from nature; water drainage in settlement areas; flood control and flood damage analysis.
Materials engineering: It covers the material properties of material to be used in buildings and other structures, material properties and mechanical properties of materials.
Infrastructure engineering: The wastewater collected from residential area provides a suitably removal and disposal issues.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

EA1- Serves as technical personnel and/or manager in public institutions and organizations operating in the basic fields of civil engineering.
EA2- Works as a project engineer, field engineer or site manager in national or international private organizations.
EA3- He becomes an employer by establishing his own company and ensuring the development of his company with his professional and personal skills.
EA4- Increases engineering knowledge and skills by continuing postgraduate education.
