Objectives : The aim of this course is; biochemical processing and evaluation of carbohydrate, protein and fat intake, transport, absorption and metabolism, which are known as macro nutrients, which are the mainstay of nutrition. The role of enzymes and hormones in these metabolic functions.
Content : Definition and content of biochemistry, functions of water, acids and bases, concept and importance of PH, amino acids, structure and classification, structure and function of proteins, classification, structure and functions of carbohydrates, fatty acids, lipids, ketone bodies and cholesterol, fat-soluble vitamins, essential and related elements in the organism, classification of enzymes, functions and coenzymes, definition and classification of hormones, functions, relationship with nutrition, protein digestion, protein metabolism and related metabolic diseases, lipid digestion, metabolic diseases related to protein metabolism , digestion of lipids and lipoproteins, digestion of carbohydrates, metabolism, diabetes mellitus, metabolism inegration, obesity related diseases, oxidative stress and antioxidants.
