Dear Students, Early childhood development is now recognized as a timely and rewarding scientific field in which the dynamic structure of the family and child-rearing are of growing importance. Our early childhood development department is dedicated to producing "child developers" who are forward-thinking, responsible and provide high-quality service to society. In our institution, the curriculum is organized in such a way that graduates can pursue their professional tasks while still enjoying their studies. Applied courses dominate the curriculum as much as theoretical courses, and great emphasis is placed on preparing our students for the demands of the profession before graduation. In addition, there is a cooperation between the courses taught as part of the department and the Children's Education and Research Centre (KARÇEM) affiliated with our university thanks to which our students have the opportunity to reinforce what they learn in theory with practice. Our graduates can earn a living practicing as "Child Development Specialists" in hospitals, family health centers and the Department of Family and Social Services. They may also be assigned to municipal centers, protection, care and rehabilitation centers, orphanages, family counseling and rehabilitation centers under the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy, and they may operate in the Directorate of the Children's Department/Office of the Head of Unit of the Directorate General for Security. Alternatively, students can be project designers, executives or consultants for UNICEF, ILO and voluntary organizations (NGOs).
