Objectives : To bring the love and consciousness of mother tongue to our young people who are studying in different fields in accordance with the constantly advancing conditions of the age. Correct, beautiful and effective use of language, which is necessary in every field of life and in every profession. To equip students with the ability to express themselves adequately and clearly in every field. To enlighten individuals who are equipped with contemporary knowledge in terms of language and literature history.
Content : WEEK 1 WHAT IS LANGUAGE? HOW WAS THE BIRTH OF LANGUAGES?
Definition of language, its features, its place in people's life. Theories put forward since the past on the birth of languages.

WEEK 2 LANGUAGES ON THE EARTH AND LANGUAGE TYPES
Classification of the languages ??in the world in terms of origin and structure, the main language families accepted to exist, spoken language and written language.

3. WEEK HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF TURKISH LANGUAGE
The emergence of the Turkish language on the stage of history, the periods of the Turkish language that can and cannot be followed with documents, the main works and figures in the periods that can be followed with documents.

WEEK 4 MAJOR ALPHABETS USED BY TURKS-CURRENT STATUS OF TURKISH LANGUAGE
The main alphabets used by the Turks throughout history, the current state of the Turkish language and its spreading areas in the world, living Turkish dialects.

WEEK 5 SOUNDS IN TURKISH AND SOUND FEATURES OF TURKISH (PHONETICS)
Classification of sounds in Turkish from various aspects, sound properties of Turkish words, phonetic events in Turkish.

WEEK 6 VOCABULARY (MORPHOLOGY)
Definition of the word, root and suffix concept, construction and inflectional suffixes, word types in terms of quality and function.

7. WEEK SENTENCE INFORMATION (SYNTAX)
Definition of sentence; Word groups in the construction of the sentence; The elements of the sentence; Types of sentences in terms of features such as structure, meaning, item order; Sentence analysis applications.

WEEK 8 WRITING RULES-1
Where capital letters are used; Writing date, month and day names; Writing numbers; Spelling of abbreviations.

WEEK 9 WRITING RULES-2
Writing compound words; The spelling of 'De', which is used as a conjunction and suffix; The spelling of 'Ki' used as a conjunction and relative pronoun; Writing the 'Mi' question supplement; Splitting words that don't fit at the end of a line.

WEEK 10 PUNITIONING SIGNS-1
Uses of periods, commas, semicolons, ellipsis, question marks, exclamation marks, dashes, dashes, slashes, quotation marks, apostrophes, and 'from' and examples of their use.
WEEK 11 ORAL COMPOSITION TYPES
Definition and main features of oral composition types such as speeches, conferences, interviews, panels, seminars, debates.

12. WEEK ACCESS TO INFORMATION RESOURCES AND LIBRARY USE
Information sources according to their form and characteristics. Researching information resources and using the library.

WEEK 13 SCIENTIFIC ARTICLE PREPARATION TECHNIQUES
Main scientific terms such as theory, law, principle, system, method. Definition of scientific writing and the plan of scientific research. Important points about style, citation and reference in scientific research.

14. WEEK WORLD OF LITERATURE AND THOUGHT
Main literary periods and movements in our literature such as Tanzimat, Servet-i Fünûn, Fecr-i Atî, National Literature. The course of the main literary genres such as poetry, theatre, novel and story after the Republic.

6 Distinguish word types in terms of quality and function.
7 Divides the sentence into its elements, knows the word groups used in the sentence.
8 Uses punctuation marks appropriately.
9 Writes by paying attention to spelling rules.
10 He/She detects the sentences with grammatical errors and corrects them.
11 Knows phonetic events in Turkish and detects them on examples.
