Objectives : To give students the ability to make connections between yesterday and today, to understand and interpret the historical heritage in order to be able to recognize the relationship between time, space and people.
Content : Reform movements in the Ottoman Empire that began to be resolved and collapsed in the face of political, economic, cultural and socio-psychological problems that resulted from the encounter between Western cultures and Turkish cultures and political events that took place during the transition from Empire to national state and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's leadership the results will be discussed in the national struggle for the establishment of the Republic of Turkey.
