Dear Students,

Physiotherapy technicians are auxiliary health care personnel who can utilize technology tools and equipment under the supervision of a physiotherapist or physiatrist in the processes of treating physical disabilities that develop for any congenital or subsequent cause. With the rapid ageing of the world's population and the increase in inactivity-related diseases, the demand for trained human resources in the field of physiotherapy is on the rise.

Students who successfully complete the physiotherapy program receive an associate degree and earn the title 'physiotherapy technician'. Physiotherapy Technicians can work in state hospitals, private hospitals, physiotherapy centers, professional and amateur sports clubs, special education and rehabilitation institutions, nursing homes, spa centers, hotels and home care services.

During the 2 years of training in physiotherapy program, basic and branch courses such as medical terminology, clinical applications of physiotherapy, basic measurement and evaluation in physiotherapy, physiology, basic anatomy, massage and massage techniques, cardiopulmonary and neurological diseases, hydrotherapy and balneotherapy, electrotherapy, pain and treatment are taught. Graduates who successfully complete the program can also transfer to 4-year programs with the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS), which grants students the right to transfer to undergraduate programs.

Our program, which started admitting students in the 2016-2017 academic year within our university's Vocational School of Health Services, offers a unique education to our students with its experienced staff and modern laboratories.

I would like to welcome our new students and wish all the success in their educational

quest.
