Dear Students, The Opticianry Program is designed to meet the needs of opticians and optometrists, to assist them in their professional activities, to maintain professional discipline and ethics and to advance as a professional in accordance with the interests of the discipline. An optician is someone who designates and makes the spectacles or contact lenses prescribed by the ophthalmologist for the patient's eye. Opticians also assist the patient in choosing the most suitable spectacle frame or contact lens for themselves. Our Opticianry Program students learn to prepare prescription lenses, all types of lenses, optical vision devices, spectacle frames, eyeglasses and sunglasses in keeping with the prescription data provided by ophthalmologists in order to cover all practical and theoretical aspects of the field. Our students, who are prepared for the future with theoretical and practical courses taught by our specialized academic staff, are trained to be graduates who possess international-level knowledge and skills based on scientific principles, have acquired the ability to keep abreast of developments in their field, have adopted the principle of lifelong learning, and are committed to humanitarian and ethical values. The aim of our program is to enable our students to enter the industry as competent individuals or responsible managers who can open an optical store. In addition, upon graduating with the title "health technician", our students can find employment opportunities in refractive hospitals, polyclinics, clinics, private practices, professional associations and professional chambers, opticians' stores, glass frame manufacturing companies and contact lens production sites.
