Students in the Medical Imaging Technician Program, receive intensive training in basic medical sciences throughout their education. This education constitutes the infrastructure of the vocational courses of the students. Radiation (X-rays) and radiation protection as vocational courses, the structure and use of medical imaging devices, applied training and evaluation per device, information about the diseases they may encounter, and patient welcome in radiology departments are also given training on patient approach. Students during the summer period, they do 20 working days of internship. In addition students receives vocational training in Radiology Department of Private and Public Hospitals within the period. With the education they receive, students can gain the awareness of performing their profession by strictly adhering to medical ethics and deontological rules, respecting patient rights at all times and under all conditions. In addition, while using high-tech systems in radiology departments, it can create high-quality images at the lowest radiation dose by ensuring radiation safety in these systems.
