Objectives : To give the necessary basic and advanced concepts to graduate students who intend to work in the field of Computer Aided Manufacturing. Student learns CAD-CAM, CAPP and DNC systems. Creating the tool paths by using commercial CAM software and writing the CNC codes manually for a serial manufactured product. Learns the basic algorithms of 3-5 axis tool path generating.
Content : M.Sc. students who successfully pass this course gain the following abilities:
1- Generating a toolpath for rough and finish operations by using a commercial CAM software
2-Writing CNC codes manually for lathes and milling machine tools for a part.
